Description

NGC 891 is an edge-on unbarred spiral galaxy about 30 million light-years away in the constellation Andromeda. It was discovered by William Herschel on October 6, 1784. The galaxy is a member of the NGC 1023 group of galaxies in the Local Supercluster. This is a simple RGB combination taken with my AG Optical 14.5 iDK using a QHY268M camera set at 2x2 binning.

I do want to thank Linwood Ferguson for his help with identifying an issue where my master lights had an usual gradient that was created by my camera driver being set to overscan on and Otto Vehviläinen for recommending a way to correct the issue. Always learning something new in Pixinsight!
