Description

M101 is a large face on spiral galaxy in the constellation Ursa Major. Also known as Pinwheel Galaxy, it is at a distance of 23,000 Light Years away from us. Pinwheel Galaxy is almost double the size of our Milkyway galaxy and has about 1 trillion stars compared to 400 billion stars in our Milkyway.
