Description

Messier 41 (also known as NGC 2287 or Little Beehive) is a 4.5 mag bright open cluster in constellation Canis Major. The cluster consists of about 100 stars, which are about 2300 light years away and spread over ~25 light years. It's definitely not an incredibly spectacular image, but since the rainy season this year only allowed a little, I wanted to go for an objects which needs a short exposure time. In addition, the open clusters are often neglected...
