Description

The eastern edge of the Sun on March 3, 2024. While the fireworks of the extremely active region 3590 can still be seen at the edge, region 3595 in the foreground is slowly turning towards the east of the Sun.
The image was taken with the QHY5III290M on the Lunt LS230 of Sternenfreunde Dieterskirchen. Inverted and in black and white to show more details. The seeing was about 3/10 and the sequence was created through a layer of haze.
