Since I was young, I have been fascinated by the stars and all things space related. Living out in the country, I often sit on my porch looking up at the night sky and the glow of the Milkyway stretching above. Sitting there one night back in September 2022, I had remembered the old DSLR I bought off my brother several years back that was stuffed away in my closet. I went and found it along with its kit lens and started snapping away. I've been hooked ever since.

I started off with a iOptron SkyGuider Pro star tracker and an AT60ED 60mm doublet refractor using my old DSLR. After about a month, I went ahead and self modified my camera by removing the LPF2 filter. I have since recently acquired a used Stellarvue SV80ST2 and upgraded my star tracker to the ZWO AM3. I hope to make the jump to a dedicated astro camera in the near future but am holding off until I can afford to make the full jump to a mono setup.
