Description

The anomalous arms are a difficult target with earthbound telescopes, but 20 hours of Ha will do it...

these arms  originate at the super-massive black hole at  the Galaxy's core. They are reaching out of the rotational plane, symmetrically with one well visible "above" and another one, offset by 180 degrees "below" that plane.
