This was a capture over 2 nights. Bortle 6 skies. Full Moon also, which lead to some crazy gradients. No filtration was used just a stock plain Canon 60D. 1805 total light frames. Also had some crazy vertical banding that gave me fits. I read a post that said to use the CanonBandingReduction Script and just rotate your image 90degs. One note about that, I had to do my ImageSolver first to get coordinates for the photo to do SPCC, because when you rotate your image you loose the coordinates data in the image. Could resolve it but only needed to do SPCC. Not exactly sure I got the colors right, but in looking at M31 shots here and elsewhere, I see the colors can be all over the place. Would have like the center to be a little more defined, and deeper amber hue but I think it looks good given my full moon conditions along with the light pollution I have in my area.

Description: Fixed the stars that were out of line in version 2 or version B. Finally figured out what I did to cause the offset in version B. Layers in photoshop not aligned properly. This version has better core color and everything is aligned properly.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
