Description

The solar chromosphere recorded from Rio de Janeiro with a small 60 mm telescope using an H-Alpha filter on September 11, 2024. The sunspots visible in the center of the image are AR3822 and AR3814, and to the right of the image corresponding to the southern region of the sun, the sunspots AR 3819 and AR 3815 can be seen. The chromosphere is absolutely stunning. We can observe filaments of curvilinear shapes associated with magnetic fields and plasma. Some associated bright areas artificially colored in light yellow are energetic areas that can be associated with magnetic disconnections and that can generate solar flares.
