Description

vdB 152 (van den Bergh) is a reflection nebula in the constellation of Cepheus. The large dark cloud is Barnard 175, and the nebula in the upper left is DeHt5. The thin red emission nebula is a filamentary nebula called SNR 110.3+11.3. This image is a collaboration with austrian astrophotographer Thomas Henne. He did the processing. The image won a 2nd price in the Interstellarum Astrophotography Competition in 2014 and was published in Sky and Telescope as well as in Sterne und Weltraum.
